Dimbulla Estate

The Vineyard & Olive Grove

Our Estate covers 100 acres – planted with grapes and olive groves. The grape varieties are Semillon and Shiraz, widely grown in the Hunter region, and Tempranillo, an emerging variety from the Rioja region of Spain now gaining popularity in Australia.
The land was once part of the old Rothbury Estate, established in the 1960’s, at the beginning of the modern era of wine production in the Hunter Valley. The climate of the area is sympathetic to viticulture with cool winters, springrains and hot summers with the humidity to ripen the grapes to the best sugar level on well-drained soils.
Our grapes are hand picked to preserve the quality of the fruit and ensure a wine that we are proud to present. Olives from our 3,000 tree grove will also be hand picked then pressed to produce a fine Hunter Valley virgin olive oil.
